The hard working
club members are to be congratulated on sponsoring
a very successful well run Specialty. Every aspect
of the show was 'first class', including the carpeted
rings, grooming area, decorations, flowers, announcer,
trophies. I was also very impressed with my steward,
Yukiyo Takahashi, who handled her task with professionalism
and her excellent knowledge of English made my
job easy. Mr. Tadashi Takahashi was the announcer
and provided a running commentary of the events.
After the show the
club sponsored a well attended dinner for the
show officials and exhibitors. We also had an
'Auction' of many great items with me acting as
'Auctioneer'. This was a carry over of Norie's
many visits to the American National where I have
been 'auctioneer' on occassion. At first I did
not think I could pull it off, as I can not speak
Japanese, but it did turn out to be a very funny
and financially successful event. Must have been
the cold Japanese beer that we celebrated an awesome
specialty and day with.
